Feature Creatures FX is run by Alana and Ed and has been established as a vehicle to do collaborative work in the film and television industry. The name was originally a play on the sorts of films we'd love to work on: 'Creature Features'. In essence we're two creative souls who work in the film and television industry. Feature Creatures FX represents a joint project between us and other occasional collaborators.
While this site and blog showcases our work on student films, independent films and our own photo-shoots we are looking to work for other fx companies or production companies as freelancers and would be bound by their confidentiality agreements.
We are also able to work in Australia, New Zealand or in the UK/Europe (Ed has dual citizenship holding both Australian and British passports and Alana has a five year work visa for the UK).
While we've become known in Melbourne for doing prosthetic make-up effects, make-up and hair styling, but we can also do fx prop making, special effects gags and character or creature design.
